The siblings' grandparents, Gerard and Paula Munera, live in Cos Cob. They hit the beach after first visiting with their family.
"It's the nice day and it's the end of summer, so we decided to come" to the beach, Julian said.
"It's the biggest beach around us and it's the nicest," Julian said, adding that he wasn't surprised by the large crowd.
He recently graduated from Wesleyan University with a bachelor of arts while Ivan graduated from Lafayette College in Easton, Pa., with a bachelor of science in chemical engineering. Camille graduated from Wellesley College with a biology degree.
While Julian said he likes Labor Day for the day off, Ivan and Camille mentioned that they are a bit wistful that summer is ending.
"I miss summer," Ivan said, a sentiment that Camille agreed with.
"You realize that it's going to end so it's a bit sad," Camille added.
In another section of Greenwich Point, Juan Rodriguez of the Bronx, N.Y., said he goes to the beach a couple of times a year.
"It's close and it's usually not that crowded," he said. "There are a lot of people here today, but you can still find a place."
